English for Special Purposes Seminar (ESPS): Students teach students

Introduction:
This semester, you will teach your fellow students. You will write a formal proposal for your chosen topic. You will then plan, prepare and hold an ESP seminar on the study-related and practice-oriented topic of your choice. Your efforts will deepen your understandings of the subject matter, help you acquire a range of business terminology and general vocabulary and enhance your reading and communication skills. After your seminar, you will write an essay over one of the topics covered in the oral seminars.  Attending your fellow students' seminars will widen your horizon. It will equip you with a useful selection of tips for further reading and handpicked vocabulary for experts-to-be. It will also improve your listening skills. Last but not least, it will make you talk. Go for it. 

Objectives:
In this semester we want to train how:

-to research and access information

-to read and understand specific texts

-to acquire and learn specific vocabulary

-to process and present information in an academic context  

-to write a formal proposal and an academic essay
