Welcome to Dresden University of Applied Sciences. My name is Silke Buhl. I am one of the English lecturers at the university's foreign language centre and would hereby like to provide advice on how you can select suitable English B2, C1 and C2 language modules. This OPAL room offers documents and information to do so. In the "Advice and Time Table" folder in the left menu, you find two types of documents:

Timetable of English B2, C1, C2 Language Modules at HTW in Winter Semester 2026/27 (PDF): Complete list of all English language modules offered at the language center, including information about the modules' day, time, room, and lecturer

Advice on Selecting English B2, C1, C2 Language Modules at HTW (PDF): Information regarding the English language modules with advice how to read the above time table and select a suitable English module from it.
To select a suitable English language module, please take the following steps:

Download the "Advice" PDF from the left folder "Advice and Time Table" and go through the tips.

Study the "Timetable" PDF in the left folder and, based on the above tips, select a suitable English module for you.

Meet with your academic advisor to check the module's ECTS-credits, exam requirements, and if it spans over one or two terms.

In the "Timetable" PDF, find out day, time and room of your selected module in the first semester week as well as the lecturer's name.
- Contact the lecturer, best before the first seminar by e-mail, to confirm that you can participate in the selected seminar, as seminar participation is subject to available capacity (max. number of students).
