Information regarding the examination

In case you participate in this seminar as part of your Master's curriculum, please sign up here so that we know that your work should be graded. Please make sure that you are also enrolled in the applicable examination system for your Master's, e.g. Selma/HISQIS.

Please note that there are only limited slots for each topic. In general, we will handle the examination as follows:

If there are less than four people in your group, you are only required to present your topic orally.

If there are four or more people in your group, you are additionally required to hand in a written report of at least three five to ten pages. Similarly to the presentation, the report should contain a summary as well as a critical discussion of the given topic. You are free to distribute the work packages within your group as you see fit, but it should be indicated, who was responsible for the different parts.

UPDATE (7/5/21):

Some clarifications:

  1. Everyone will be graded individually by Lutz Brusch and Andreas Deutsch after consultation with the group's supervisor.
  2. Everything you did that contributed to your groups presentation and report will be taken into consideration when grading your work.
  3. Therefore, it is mandatory that your report contains a section "Author Contributions", where you list in detail each group member's contributions to the project.
  4. The report should be 5-10 pages long and must be submitted one week after the group's presentation at the latest.
