S Applied Cognitive Neuroscience: Journal Club on Clinical Neuroscience Studies

In this course we will get to know scientific papers on neuroscience of clinical disorders. The clinical disorders will both comprise populations with hereditary cognitive deficits as well as cognitive deficits caused by brain lesions (such as aphasia) and neurodegenerative diseases (such as dementia). There will be a brief introduction to the clinical disorders. An emphasis will be led on understanding the difficulties, advantages and disadvantages of clinical neuroscience studies. The course language will be English, except in those cases where we read original reports in German.
