Modellierungsseminar

Inhalte:

Das Modellierungsseminar ist Teil verschiedener Studiengänge an der Fakultät für Mathematik der TU Chemnitz. Je nach Studiengang unterscheiden sich Umfang, Zielstellungen and Themengebiete. Details hierzu können den jeweiligen Studienordnungen entnommen werden.

Einordnung:

• Im Rahmen des Data-Science Studiengangs als Pflichtmodul S04 mit 8 LP, Details in der Modulbeschreibung (Master Data Science).
• Im Rahmen des Diplom-/Masterstudiengangs mit Vertiefung Technomathematik als Modul S04 mit 8 LP, Details in der Modulbeschreibung (Master/Diplom Mathematik).
• Im Rahmen des MINT Studiengangs (Studienordnung 2016) als Pflichtmodul F01 mit 8 LP, Details in der Modulbeschreibung (Bachelor MINT).
• Im Rahmen des MINT Studiengangs (Studienordnung 2024) als Pflichtmodul Seminar MINT (220000-022) mit 8 LP, Details in der Studienordnung MINT

Modulprüfung für Mathematik und Data Science:

• zwei 45-minütige Vorträge sowie
• eine schriftlichen Ausarbeitung im Umfang von ca. 30 Seiten (Bearbeitungszeit: 8 Wochen)

Modulprüfung für Bachelor MINT (Studienordnung 2016):

• ein 45-minütiger Ergebnisvortrag, ein 45-minütiger Projektvortrag als Prüfungsvorleistung sowie
• eine schriftlichen Ausarbeitung im Umfang von ca. 30 Seiten
• falls sich an das Bachelorstudium MINT ein Masterstudium Data Science anschließt, wird das Modul als Pflichtmodul S04 erneut abgelegt, natürlich mit neuem Thema 

Modulprüfung für Bachelor MINT (Studienordnung 2024):

• 45-minütiger Vortrag
• schriftlicher Ausarbeitung (semesterbegleitend) im Umfang von ca. 5 Seiten
• falls sich an das Bachelorstudium MINT ein Masterstudium Data Science anschließt, wird das Modul als Pflichtmodul S04 erneut abgelegt, natürlich mit neuem Thema

Grundsätzliche Informationen zum Seminar:

• Online/Hybrid meetings will be held in Webroom https://webroom.hrz.tu-chemnitz.de/gl/jan-k9v-3ye Access code: 686196 if nothing else is stated
• The seminar is not on a weekly basis. You can find the dates of the talks below. Additionally, an invitation will be sent by email for each talk and meeting.
• There is a Google Calendar containing all upcoming talks (announced are only topics, first letter of first name and last name) which you can access and subscribe via the Link (you have to be signed into your Google Account). Please consider allowing notification to stay up-to-date!
• Please note that this seminar is mainly for the students in the Master DS and MINT program. The topics published on OPAL are reserved for the Master Data Science students and the MINT students. Students from the International Master and PhD program can attend the seminar (incl. two talks and a written report) only when they've organized a topic and supervisor by themselves.
• Please use the chat to ask questions that might concern other students as well. Also consider to subscribe to the Chat section. In this case, you will receive updates of the chat via email.
• Register for the exam in the semester in which you plan to complete the project, i.e., submit the report and give your last talk!
