In the project area "Theoretical Computer Science", students work on a scientific topic under the guidance of a member of the Chair of Automata Theory. The goal is to get acquainted with the principles of scientific work. This includes, depending on the topic, a literature review, the development of original research results, as well as implementation work. If the topic includes an implementation, it should be well-structured and -documented. The successful project is concluded by a written report (~15 pages) and an oral presentation (~30 minutes).
Enrolment
A list of offered topics is available after enrolling in this course. You can request to work on a topic by sending an e-mail to the respective tutor or to one of the people listed above. The message should contain the name, matriculation number, module, and the preferred topic(s). We encourage you to propose your own topics. The project has to be concluded within one semester.
Extent
0/0/4, 0/0/8 or 0/0/12 SWS, depending on the topic and course of studies.
