The seminar focusses on the environmental history of the 19th and 20th century especially on "radioactivity" and its nuclear heritage worldwide.
The students will each have to give an in-class presentation (20-30 minutes including discussion) and hand in a seminar paper (12 pages) until the end of the term. They will be enabled to research for information needed for doing so in the library and the internet.
Due to the present situation the seminar will start as a webinar until our university will open its normal lecture courses again. The e-learing platform for this will be BBB (Big Blue Button). As first step we will offer a series of pdf-files which all students could download from the OPAL platform. They will be able to give you a first information about the topic of the seminar and the possible topics of your in-class presentation. These presentations will be held during the webinar online for all participants.
