• Physics of optoelectronic circuits and systems, with a focus on sensor applications. Basics of III-V semiconductors, radiative and nonradiative carrier recombination in quantum wells, rate equations, quantum efficiency.
• Technology of light emittind diodes (LEDs), laser diodes, photodiodes, and solar cells.

Qualification goals:

• Basic understanding of the semiconductor physics and technology of optoelectronic devices.
• Function and applications of optoelectronic devices and optical sensors.
