Philosophy of Science and Good Scientific Practice

This course aims to familiarize students with scientific working methods and the principles of good scientific practice.

During WiSe 24/25, the course will be offered in hybrid mode with the lectures being uploaded on OPAL and related discussion being conducted over OPAL forums. The examination will consist of student presentations in groups, in presence (you need to be physically present in Dresden for this), with the groups being called randomly to present. 

Students who are not yet in Dresden but plan to attend the course can do so after registration on SELMA and enrolment in OPAL. The SELMA registration  formally registers you as a student attending the course. The OPAL registration gives you access to the course content on this page.

Students who have plans to attempt the examination, will be required to register for the examination on SELMA. Please note that this is different from the SELMA registration for the course. The option to register for the exam appears after you have registered for the course on SELMA.
