Umberto LCA+ software is one of the leading LCA software solutions and allows to identify and reduce the resource and energy consumption of a process, optimizing the environmental performance of the products.

- Assessment of potential environmental impacts in accordance with ISO 14040/14044

- Graphical modeling of product life cycles

- Optimization of resource and energy efficiency

- Achieving eco-efficiency through integrated cost accounting

- Integration of life cycle assessment databases

Each participant will receive a certificate at the end under the following conditions:

  • Attendance and successful participation at all dates of the software practical course
  • Submission and passing of the assignment

Objectives and contents of the course:

  • Introduction to the software Umberto LCA+
  • Graphical representation of material and energy flows as a means of material flow analysis
  • Recognition and evaluation of improvement potentials
  • Visualization by means of Sankey diagram
  • Determination of the CO2 footprint
  • Use of subnetworks
  • Cost calculation
  • Export to Excel

To earn a certificate, an assignment will be presented at the end of the course, which students are expected to solve independently (group work). Attendance is required on all dates.
