Ukrainian is an East Slavic language, spoken by about 50 million people in Ukraine and around the world. Do you have an interest and would you like to try learning Ukrainian? Then we invite you to the Institute of Slavic Studies for a course «Ukrainian for beginners». You do not need any prior knowledge to take the course. The supporting language will be English.

The course “Ukrainian for beginners” introduces alphabet, the elementary grammar of modern Ukrainian language and vocabulary. It includes the four modes of communication: writing, reading, listening and speaking. The work with texts and dialogues will allow you to tell about yourself, friends, family, appearance, house, hobbies, dishes etc. You will also know about Kyiv-the capital of Ukraine and many interesting facts about Ukraine.
