Introduction to Computational Aerodynamics

German Aerospace Center (DLR) | Wintersemester 2023 / 2024 Introduction to Computational Aerodynamics

Description:

This lecture serves as introduction to simulation of flows with a focus on exterior flow dynamics for aerospace engineering.
Students first reiterate basics of fluid flow and aerodynamics.
Then, the lecture presents numerical schemes for solution of the occuring equations.
Last, but not least, the students combine both parts in the exercises, where numerical simulation tools are employed and developed.

Lecture:

Time Monday, 5th (14:50 - 16:20)
Location APB/006/U

Exercise:

We aim to have a pair programming exercise that uses two consecutive slots -- the time and date will be agreed upon in the first lectures.
