Agent-Based and Behavioral Macroeconomics (WiSe23/24)

This course explores advanced macroeconomic models with a focus on complexity and behavioral perspec- tives. It examines the evolution of macroeconomic methodology and practical applications, emphasizing the interaction between complexity theory and economic models. Students will analyze and compare mainstream and alternative approaches to macroeconomics, including Agent-based Macroeconomics and Behavioral Economics, to gain a comprehensive understanding of modern macroeconomic debates and theories.
