Nanophysics - physics in mesoscopic systems
The module provides insight into the fundamental physical concepts and phenomena in modern nanostructures and quantum materials. Among others we will talk about:
- Fabrication of nanostructures
- Quantum interference effects in mesoscopic systems
- Coulomb blockade and single-electron transistors
- Molecular electronics
- Landauer-Büttiker formalism
