Composite-based Hybrid Technologies WS 24/25
Contents:
Basics for the application of fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) will be
taught in this course. Based on the basic principles of fiber composites, the
individual components fiber, matrix and interface will be explained in detail. The
basics of structural analysis of anisotropic composites as well as the design of
layered composites will be explained by means of semi- finished product forms,
fiber composite constructions and a material- mechanical characterization.
Furthermore, explanations of design and layout, joining and force application
techniques as well as the basic manufacturing technologies of fiber composites
will be thought. The course is rounded off by the topic of natural fiber composites
and recycling. An exercise completes the course contents.
Qualification objectives:
In this module, students acquire the basic knowledge
for the use of fiber-reinforced plastics as well as their project planning and
dimensioning.
The students are enabled to work in the development of lightweight
structures as well as to work in the production of fiber composites.
