Themenschwerpunkte Informatik: Neurorobotik (WS24/25)
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of neurorobotics, which combines neuroscience, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics. It covers fundamental concepts from all three disciplines, including:
- Neuroscience: The structure and function of the brain, with a focus on cognition, perception, attention, memory, knowledge representation, learning, and development.
- AI: Computational models of the brain, including neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Robotics: The design and construction of robots, focusing on embodiment and sensorimotor control.
The course also includes a practical component where students will learn how to implement AI algorithms in Python. No prior background in AI or robotics is required. A general background knowledge of programming is necessary.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the basic principles of neurorobotics.
- Apply AI algorithms to solve real-world problems.
The course will be held in either German or English, depending on the language preferences of the participating students. Course materials will be available in English. Students are welcome to ask questions in either language.
