SS 2020 Stahlheber Advanced Translation
This SRW will be split into two parts. In the Thursday slot we will meet and learn about representations of semisimple Lie algebras, e.g. using Paul Wedrich's lecture notes ("Lie algebras"), Ruedi Suter's ones ("Lie-Algebren und ihre Darstellungen"), or Humphrey's book ("Introduction to Lie algebras and representation theory"). If students want to take this course as a full 4 SWS SRW, we'll organise additional meetings in which we learn about representations of finite groups, e.g. using the book by Jean-Pierre Serre ("Linear Representations of Finite Groups") or my own one's from AIMS Ghana.
