Lecture Series "Water Without Borders" 2025/26

Water does not stop at regional or political borders - and protecting this essential resource can only be 
achieved through joint efforts. At Dresden University of Technology, several bilateral EU Interreg pro-
jects (co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and supported by the university's Euro-
pean Project Centre) are currently focusing on the topic of water. They shed light on a wide range of 
aspects: from the monitoring of watercourses and the quality of wastewater treatment to aquatic biodi-
versity and the sustainable use of water systems in European cities. The lecture series offers insights 
into current research projects and shows how cross-border cooperation works in science and in prac-
tice.
