POMHAZ MOOC

This course is designed for students, engineers, professionals, and non-professionals who want to tackle the challenges of post-mining hazards using GIS and open-source tools. Whether you're new to GIS or already familiar with mapping, this MOOC offers a combination of blended learning—including 6 videos (each around 30 minutes long)—alongside documentation and materials to ensure a solid understanding of mining hazard assessment using GIS tools. The 6 videos will cover the four key modules of the course, guiding you step by step through the process of assessing mining hazards, managing spatial data, and building decision-making tools. The MOOC is hosted on the OPAL platform at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, providing an accessible and well-structured learning environment for all participants.
