Statistics is the science of drawing conclusions from data. Applied Statistics teaches to apply this knowledge practically for real world situations. The goal is that a student of this course can independently or as a consultant perform statistical analysis of typical real world datasets. 

Students of this course can responsibly and as qualified statistical experts analyse real world statistical data with standard methods. They can judge the appropriateness of statistical methods, select from a varity of established statistical methods, and have application ready knowledge in a statistical software.
