Principles of Refrigeration

This course ist part of the module MB-ET-37: Principles of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, WW-ING-807b and MW-VNT-114.

In this module students acquire basic competencies in the field refrigeration technologies and their most important components. Energetic, economical and ecological connections become understandable.
In detail knowledge and qualifications in the fields of refrigeration requirements, compression refrigeration systems, their refrigerants, machines and devices, the ozone problem, the greenhouse effect, the subject-specific TEWI assessment are tranfered.
Other important topics are heat pumps, economical aspects, refrigeration systems and their development potential as well as sorption refrigeration systems, thermoelectric and magnetocaloric refrigeration technology.
