Privacy statement

The BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen GmbH takes your data protection very seriously. As a private copmpany we respect the legal terms of the German Federal Data Protection Act as well as the relevant legislation concerning protection of the right of self-determination with regard to personal information.

To protect your rights we have taken technical and organizational measures so that data protection prescriptions are respected within the BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen GmbH as well as by external service providers if they participate in a defined project.

Your personal information may only be used to the extent that is permitted by the specific laws or with your express agreement.

Your personal information will not be provided or sold to third parties, except for data treatment by our service providers that are following exclusively our instructions regarding the data processing in accordance with Article §11 of the German Federal Data Protection Act.

For purpose of data protection, when you access the OLAT Campus Community Plattform of the BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen GmbH, data is raised only in technical necessary extent. Data is stored temporarily on our server, which could possibly allow an identification.

That may be:

Name of retrieved file
Date and time of access
Feedback if access was successful
IP address
Used browser
Used operating system

An evaluation of these data will not occur. Except for:

Evaluation in connection with a susptected criminal offence
Evaluation in connection with a founded suspicion of misuse
in anonymous form for:
- statistical purposes
- optimization of the platform

Additionally, further personal data are processed on the OLAT Campus Community platform. They consist in your master data saved in your profil and your history data collected due to your use of proposed resources. Such history data may be:

Registration (enrolment) to courses
Entries in blogs, forums, wikis etc.
Results when participating in surveys and tests

Please note that no data transmission over the Internet, especially by email, can be guaranteed as totally secure. The possibility cannot be excluded that transmitted data may be disclosed to unauthorized persons, or even may become corrupted.

Your trust is important to us. Therefore we wouls like to offer you the possibility to answer your questions regarding data protection at any time on the OLAT Campus Community platform.

In accordance with the article §6 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act you have the right to consult all stored personal data. You can also contact us if you believe that data protection rules are not respected or that the BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen GmbH is misusing your personal data.
