Description of Food Sounds

You are welcome to take part in this online survey. I am happy that you will help me achieve the goals of my Master's thesis.

In this survey, you will first be given a short explanation of the term "noisy food". Then you will be asked to describe some foods and food sounds. Finally, we ask you to answer questions about yourself. The questionnaire is divided into four sections. Instructions and explanations are given for each section. In case you are unable to provide an answer, enter 'NA' in the text box and proceed to the next question.

Noisy foods are foods that make a noise or sound when bitten into and/or chewed. When giving examples of noisy foods, please consider all categories of foods you have ever tasted or know of. Please note that food packaging materials or the sound they make will not be considered in this survey.

This survey is anonymous.

The record of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you, unless a specific survey question explicitly asked for it.

If you used an identifying token to access this survey, please rest assured that this token will not be stored together with your responses. It is managed in a separate database and will only be updated to indicate whether you did (or did not) complete this survey. There is no way of matching identification tokens with survey responses.
