Dear member of EVCOM,
The live communication industry has been steadily growing during the past years and has become a noteworthy business sector for economies across Europe. Driven by an increasing professionalization and internationalization the sector has been developing rapidly. Against this background, in 2019 LiveCom Alliance (European Institute for Live Communication) conducted the first pan-European LiveCom Survey to grasp a detailed understanding of the structure, characteristics and future trends of this industry. As the study has been very well received by a broad audience, EVCOM and LiveCom Alliance committed to update the survey in 2021 to monitor the current developments within the industry. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in early 2020 the live communication industry's dynamics have been abruptly disrupted. In the ongoing pandemic situation, companies within the live communication sector have been facing a myriad of challenges while navigating through the crisis.
In light of this, this year's study aims at, firstly, gaining an understanding of the impact of COVID-19 on the industry. And secondly, looking ahead to give a cautious forecast for the future of the sector. We would like to invite you to take part in the study to share your experiences of the business in 2020 and your expectations of the industry's future. By spending 20-30 minutes of your time, you not only help to quantify the economic and cultural impact of the pandemic, but also contribute to better understand where the industry is going from here. We would therefore like to ask you to respond to the questions you find on the following pages before 14th February 2021.
