Dear students,
The 4. interdisciplinary Global Health Initiative Spring School will take place from March 23 to 27, 2026 at the TU Dresden.
Students from different fields will participate in this week-long course featuring speakers from local, national and international universities, institutes and organizations.
The goal is to introduce students to general concepts of global health, including the social and political determinants of health, the role of primary care and public health in ensuring universal health coverage, and community engagement as a means of reaching hard to reach populations, as well as mental health, migration, climate change and planetary health.
The emphasis will be placed on developing analytical skills to break down complex problems, exposing students to practical concepts and tools such as measurement of burden of disease, developing cultural sensitivity or fostering partnership approaches to engage with communities. The course language is English and it is designed as an interdisciplinary interactive learning event in presence.
