The workshop will show how geo social media data from different platforms can be integrated, analysed and visualised interactively using Jupyter Notebook and Python. A privacy-aware data structure will be introduced, which works on aggregated data and enables high-performance analyses of large amounts of data. The workshop will be held by Dr.-Ing Alexander Dunkel from the Institute of Cartography, TU Dresden, who is currently working in the Priority Program „Volunteered Geographic
Information: Interpretation, Visualisation and Social Computing“. Alexander held a number of workshops and presentations on data visualization at German institutions and abroad, at the University of Waterloo, the University of Toronto, the UC Berkeley, or the CCA in San Francisco.
