Accommodation

You’ll be staying all at one place, where we’ve already pre-booked rooms for all of us. Please reach out to us and don't book anything on your own!

If you would be just fine with a bed in a double room without broaching the issue of gender, you don't need to tick any of the above points.

Bicycling

We might use bicycles once at some point during the days of the Summer School.

Safety Question:

Are you able to safely ride a bicycle, e.g. from the accommodation to the city center? If not, please state "no" and we will organize a train/tram/bus connection for you.

Participation Fee

As an academic non-profit initiative, we offer the scientific portion of the Summer School at no cost. However, we request a participation fee to cover accommodation, meals, transport, and activities, which is approximately 999€ for the 8 nights (much less for attendees from Rostock). Your travel expenses are separate. If you require a visa, please register early. Your registration will only be confirmed after the fee is paid.

Lecture Confirmation

If you’re presenting, please double-check your lecture information on our summer school website!

Invoice Address

If your institution will cover your participation fee, kindly provide the invoice address and the VAT number. Please double-check with your administrative personnel at your institution to really provide the correct invoice address to us. If you're covering the cost yourself, just provide your personal address (and a private VAT number if you would have any).

Please think twice and maybe check with your secretary or controller which invoice address should be really mentioned here...

Travel Cost Reimbursement

After the approval to teach at the MemrisTec Summer School we would initiate a guest lecturer contract and need some personal information from you. Usually, we cover the travel costs and the accommodation for the two nights around your lecture for you. We already booked in the accommodation of everybody. Please book your travel on your own and a good price - please also avoid flights (only reimburseable if cheaper than a train connection) and taxis (not reimburseable) and book as early as you get the confirmation to teach at the Summer School!
