Content: Modern aspects of optics and photonics. The central focus will be the discussion of the laser and the relevant basics.
- Fundamentals of quantum emitters
- Basics of relevant electrodynamics and optics
- Laser: working principle and properties
- Laser types
Target group: Specialization Bachelor and Master Physics (‘Angewandte Festkörperphysik und Photonik’) and all other interested students. Prerequisites: atomic and molecular physics, quantum mechanics I.
Exam: Written report (Bachelor Physics)
