Objectives: The lecture enables the student to deal with state of the art technologies for modeling, building and operating automated business processes to  support agile business processes.  By designing and implementing a complete BPM projects the students learn and practice all stages of the business process automation life cycle with an professional BPM suite (SAG webMethods).

 

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge on web service base technologies, XML basics

 

Labs are based on the Campus Connect case study by Software AG  a SOA project including all aspects from analysis, process modeling, process implementation, etc.) and let you get in touch with state of the art BPM and business process execution software.

 

Content:

-          XML technologies for business process automation (XML Schema,  XPath)

-          Advanced web service technologies (WS-Security, WS-Reliability, WS-Transactions)

-          The business process life cycle

-          Modeling business process (Business Process Modeling Notation)

-          Transforming the business process model into an automated workflow (BPMN à BPEL: automation and constraints)

-          Business process automation with BPEL

-     Service Orientied Architectures (concept, pattern, implementation)

 

 

 

 -          Business process automation and human interaction (BPEL4People)

-          Building business process components using the Service Component Architecture

-          Business Process Automation Platforms

-     Enterprise Service Bus Systems as integration platforms
