Course description:

It would be impossible to deny that fascism is on the rise globally. However, there is much confusion as to how contemporary forms of fascism such as identitarianism, nativism, neo-traditionalism, techno-feudalism, and other alt-right movements connect to historical fascism. This course will examine text and media that investigates the links between past and present fascist ideology with a particular focus on fantasies of racial purity, mythical manipulations of history, and techno-libertarian fantasies of accelerated capitalism.
