Content:

The module consists of a seminar taught in English. Building on basic knowledge of the internationalization of organizations and their strategic development from an international and global perspective, the module provides in-depth knowledge of the organizational and strategic development of organizations in the context of global economic, political, and social developments.

Aim:

After successfully completing the module, students will have developed their skills in writing academic papers (seminar papers). They will be able to apply their communication and argumentation skills in the writing process and take into account appropriate working techniques and academic argumentation skills.

Requirements:

The focal texts offer an introduction to the respective topics and must be read by all participants in order to both broaden their understanding of a range of key issues facing organizations and to ensure an insightful discussion within the seminar. Active participation in plenum discussions is required.
In preparation for the term paper, each student should participate in a compulsory consultation with the lecturer(s).

Assessment:

Seminar paper (length: 4,000 to 4,500 words per person, excluding appendices; processing time: 20 weeks) and 20-minute oral presentation (presentation and discussion)

Prerequisites:
Advanced familiarity with organizational and strategy theory as well as scientific research work.
