Internet and Web Applications (Summer 2026)
The lecture provides an introduction to Internet and Web technologies. We will cover widely used, emerging, and future technologies on top of the Internet that enable scalable and secure content distribution and access. This includes fundamentals of the architectures, protocols, and interaction mechanisms used in the World Wide Web, as well as popular application areas of those fundamentals. In addition, this lecture discusses systems that build on the principles of the World Wide Web. Finally, the module introduces other services that target a large user base, such as chat systems or file sharing applications.
The lecture will take place weekly on Thursday from 2:50 - 4:20pm in APB/E023. The first lecture will take place on April 16.
The exercises will take place weekly on Thursday from 4:40 - 6:10pm in APB/E023. The first exercise will take place TBA.
