Research Seminar Regional Economics (Forschungsseminar)
The research seminar aims at the intensive study of topics in spatial economics. Students are expected to undertake self-initiated research activities, understand the literature provided by the supervisor, search for additional literature, and deal comprehensively with the topic following scientific standards.

The content of the module is the independent processing of scientifically relevant questions as well as their discussion and presentation.
The students have a deeper understanding of spatial economic approaches and methods. In particular, they are able to independently work on scientifically relevant questions, to present, discuss and evaluate scientific research results in a challenging way and to prepare scientific research projects in a qualified manner. They have key qualifications in rhetoric, presentation and presentation techniques.
According to § 6 Abs. 2 of the study regulations, the module is a compulsory elective module of the specialisation in spatial economics of the module group Specialisation in Transport Economics in the Master's programme Transport Economics.
