Scope: 

In this Seminar, we want to join the celebration of the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ, https://quantum2025.org). The presentations in this seminar will discuss key historic experiments/findings (how were these experiments conducted) that have a strong connection with the beginning of the quantum era and discuss, where these experiments or phenomena are still found and utilized today.

5.      Emission spectroscopy of gases

6.      Observation of the Fraunhofer lines

7.      Compton effect

8.      Stern-Gerlach experiment

11.  Double-slit experiment
