Das Modul vermittelt grundlegende und fortgeschrittene Konzepte interaktiver ubiquitäter Systeme sowie intelligenter Benutzungsschnittstellen. Studierende erhalten Einblicke in menschzentrierte Entwicklungsmethoden, die Gestaltung intelligenter Interaktionen und die technischen Grundlagen von Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT) sowie künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) im Kontext ubiquitärer Anwendungen.
Das Modul behandelt Themen aus den Bereichen:
- Grundlagen der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion und des Ubiquitous Computing
- Forschungstechniken und Prototyping
- Kontextbewusste, mobile und tragbare Interaktionen
- Tangible Interfaces und natürliche Interaktion (Gesten, Sprache, Physiologische Sensorik)
- Usable Security und erklärbare KI (Explainable AI)

Welcome to the Computer Science module: Interactive ubiquitous systems.
The module teaches basic and advanced concepts of interactive ubiquitous systems and intelligent user interfaces. Students gain insights into human-centered development methods, the design of intelligent interactions and the technical foundations of embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of ubiquitous applications.
The module covers topics from the following areas
- Fundamentals of human-computer interaction and ubiquitous computing
- Research techniques and prototyping
- Context-aware, mobile and wearable interactions
- Tangible interfaces and natural interaction (gestures, speech, physiological sensors)
- Usable security and explainable AI
