Numerik partieller Differentialgleichungen / Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations

This is the OPAL website for the course "Numerical methods for partial differential equations" held in the summer term 2025.

This course begins with a two-week block course on Finite Differences (FD), taught by Zakaria Kassali, from April 7 to April 18. The schedule for these first two weeks is fixed, so please refrain from asking to reschedule. If any conflicts still arise, we can discuss them on April 23, when the main part of the course, covering the Finite Element Method (FEM), will follow. You can start the FEM section without having attended the FD block, as the two parts are independent.
