Content:
The seminar will be held in English and explores contemporary challenges and phenomena facing organizations through the discussion of relevant current research papers. Students are expected to discuss the focal texts in a critical manner and to write a term paper. The term paper will build on the discussion within the seminar and will lead to an own research plan.
Requirements:
The focal texts offer an introduction to the respective topics and must be read by all participants in order to both broaden their understanding of a range of key issues facing organizations and to ensure an insightful discussion within the seminar. Active participation in plenum discussions is required.
In preparation for the term paper, each student should participate in a compulsory consultation with the lecturer(s).
Assessment:
Presentation (10 min) + Discussion (10 min) with the lecturers after the presentation.
Term paper (4.000–4.500 words excluding lists and appendices).
Prerequisites:
Advanced familiarity with organizational and strategy theory as well as scientific research work.
