You will find further information, including a list of presenters, here: Forschungsstelle für Rechtsfragen neuer Technologien sowie Datenrecht (ForTech) e.V. (forschungsstelle-datenrecht.de)

You can apply online here: Online-BewerbungYou can answer the questions in German or English, as you prefer. In case of questions, e-mail katharina.kaesling@tu-dresden.de.

We would like to inspire you to think about questions of data access and use and to develop your own ideas on the topic. We will provide input by renowned experts both from academia and practice and foster a creative discussion atmosphere. In addition to the legal input, we will provide specific legal writing support and teaching.

The idea is that each participant (or a group of participants) finds a research question he/she/they would like to work on. Between the get together in Dresden and Bonn, participants do further research on their individual topics. Participants will meet for up to 4 additional lectures during this time. The Winter Writing School facilitates the writing of your paper!

As a student from Dresden, this paper can also:

  • count as Seminar paper on Data Law (as such, it is part of Summer Semester 2024).
  • accompany the writing of your Master Thesis in that area with JProf. Kaesling or give rise to an exposé for such a Master Thesis.

We are striving to cover costs for travelling to Bonn for all participants.
Please note: While you can write in English or German, presentations will be in German only, so particpation requires certain German language skills (You should be able to follow presentations in German).
