GARSZTECKI The European Union in Central Eastern Europe - Concepts, Ideas and Discourses

The European Union seems to  be in a crisis right now. The war in Ukraine, economic and political conflicts with the United States, and a future between further enlargement and deepening of integration concerns EU citizens all across the Union. The course tries to shed some light at current discourses in EU member states and will ask, what ideas concerning the future of the Union and the shape of various policies are discussed in Central and Eastern Europe. A common defense policy or attitudes about migration are only two elements of current debates.
