Content:
The seminar will be held in English and explores different topics of international management through the discussion of relevant current research papers. Students are expected to discuss the focal texts in a detailed and critical manner. In order to explore and challenge the papers they are expected to draw on either one or two further relevant research papers or relevant examples from practice. Moreover, each group is expected to integrate an interactive element in their presentation (for example a role play, a group discussion or quiz) that both reflects the substantive aspects of their discussion and engages the audience. In addition, each group has to prepare a co-presentation on a recent article from the "Financial Times" relating to the topic of the presentation.
Erasmus students are welcome!
Requirements:
The focal texts offer an introduction to the respective topics and must be read by all participants in order to both broaden their understanding of a range of current topics of international management and to ensure an insightful discussion within the seminar. You are expected to participate in the discussions.
In preparation for the presentation, each group must participate in a compulsory consultation with the lecturer(s).
Assessment:
- Presentation in groups of three (20 min per group member including an interactive element and discussion) + short discussion with the lecturers after the presentation (5 min per group member).
