Students are enabled to understand that the RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) approach is a crucial step towards sustainable waste management, and that its implementation requires a comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness of human actions and environmental consequences.

Students become aware that of particular relevance in the context of environmental sustainability, as waste management is a critical component of reducing the environmental impact of human activities and mitigating climate change.

LEARNING OUTCOMES / COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge

    • Awareness of how SDGs should affect everyday life;
    • Knowledge of household waste categories and labeling;
    • Understanding of how the sorting and recycling of waste can improve the global environmental situation;
    • Understanding of the causes and consequences of global environmental issues caused by household waste;
    • Understanding that each individual is responsible for the global environmental situation.

Skills

    • Be able to sort household waste by category;
    • Be able to make responsible customer decisions (consume consciously);
    • Be able to process garbage at home (upcycling) and reuse it;
    • Be able to compost organic waste at home;
    • Be able to encourage other people to be involved in RRR strategy
