The Summer School 2021 is dealing with the topic “Responsible consumption and production for digitized higher education”, provides participants with new knowledge about distance and online learning at academic level, not in the least in view of the recent world-wide COVID 19 Pandemic. Participants thereby apply principles of sustainability assessment to different ways of studying: Studying at one place with no or only a proportion of digital offerings up to studying purely online. Based on their findings, they draw up recommendations for improvements of digitized higher education. They receive technical and methodological inputs from representatives of the EURECA-PRO universities and work out the sustainability of four scenarios, one in each of the international groups of about 4-5 students.
The participating students are awarded with 3 ECTS for successful completion of the summer school. The workload of 90 h includes
- Preparation period starting 16.08.2021 - Pre-School (30h)
- Summer School from 5th - 11th September (40h)

Every group prepares a report on its findings and results within 4 weeks after the Summer School. The reports will be published.
